Attachments Tier List

Attachments turned B-tier rifles into S-tier monsters in classic Rules of Survival. Rules of Survival Legacy is still Under Development at Myth Games for PC—the original game closed June 27, 2022, and Myth Games is not NetEase. No official APK grants early access. This page ranks mods using live-era ROS data so you know what to slap onto an M4A1 or ACR the moment Legacy loot tables feel familiar.

Myth Games may rename items, merge slots, or restrict silencers on certain maps. Classic attachment logic still teaches priority order: find a sight before chasing a suppressor, and never skip a vertical grip on high-recoil AKM builds.

How attachments interact with weapons

Read the weapons tier list first. A gun’s tier assumes reasonable attachments—ACR with iron sights alone was A-tier; with 4x and compensator it sat firmly in S-tier. Your inventory management on PC depends on fast swap keys from the PC keybinds guide.

Drop quality determines which mods you see early. Military zones ranked S-tier on drop locations routinely spawned 4x scopes and extended mags. Suburban houses on Ghillie Island more often offered red dots and pistol suppressors.

S-tier attachments (classic meta)

AttachmentSlotWhy it dominated
4x ScopeOpticBest AR/DMR range band; mandatory for mid-game peek fights
8x ScopeOpticDefined AWM and Barrett power; required for S-tier sniper value
CompensatorMuzzleReduced horizontal recoil on M4A1, ACR, AKM more than flash hiders
Vertical ForegripGripStabilized AKM and SCAR-L; huge on full-auto tracking
Extended QuickDraw MagMagazineFaster reload plus ammo pool; core for Vector and M249

The 4x scope was the single highest-impact attachment in classic ROS BR. Players who looted Training Base or Observatory military crates often secured one before the first circle closed. Without it, even S-tier rifles underperformed against squads holding ridges on Fearless Fiord.

A-tier attachments

AttachmentBest onNotes
Red Dot / HoloSMGs, CQB ARA-tier inside Rust Bay buildings; swap to 4x when possible
Angled ForegripM4A1, SCAR-LFaster ADS than vertical; preference split among pros
Suppressor (AR)Stealth rotatesA-tier for avoiding third parties; small damage tradeoff
Cheek PadSKS, SVDReduced sway; pushed DMRs into late-game viability
Extended Mag (no QD)LMG, ARA-tier when QuickDraw unavailable

Silencers split opinions. On snow maps, sound masking helped teams rotate between compounds unheard. In final circles, damage loss hurt more than stealth gained—many players dropped suppressors for compensators before the last fight.

B-tier attachments

AttachmentContext
2x ScopeTransitional optic; outclassed once 4x appears
Flash HiderMinor recoil help; B-tier when compensator exists
Tactical StockNiche SMG improvement; rarely worth over grip
Suppressor (Pistol)B-tier for finishing knocked enemies quietly
Choke (Shotgun)Situational room clears only

2x scope filled the gap when you had no 4x but needed more than a red dot for Bitter Lake ridge lines. Keep it until upgrade, then discard.

C-tier and F-tier attachments

C-tier: Iron sights on ARs past early game, basic pistol mags, laser sights with minimal ROS benefit, crossbow quivers outside meme builds.

F-tier: Holding duplicate low optics when inventory is tight, keeping shotgun chokes with an AR primary, or attaching 8x to SMGs. Also F-tier: any attachment incompatible with your ammo type—do not hoard .50 mags without a Barrett.

Attachment priority by playstyle

Aggressive entry (hot drop): Red dot on Thompson or Vector → compensator → extended mag. Cross-reference loot spots for urban SMG spawns.

Mid-range AR standard: 4x → vertical grip → compensator. This trio matched most builds focused on M4A1 or ACR.

Sniper support: 8x on AWM → cheek pad on backup SVD → suppressor optional for stalking final zone edge.

Squad LMG: Extended QuickDraw on M249 → 4x or red dot based on range → prioritize ammo boxes over muzzle mods.

Map-specific attachment notes

Ghillie Island (~120 players): CQB mods matter at Bitter Lake and Rust Bay. Expect more red dot and SMG suppressor loot in dense towns.

Fearless Fiord (~300 players): 4x and 8x attachments gained value on open ice and mountain lines. Cheek pads on DMRs helped long pokes between third parties.

Legacy may alter building density, so attachment value could shift. If Myth Games shrinks sight lines on Ghillie Island, red dots could rise relative to 4x.

PC controls and sensitivity synergy

Attachments change ADS feel. A compensator reduces needed mouse pull; an 8x magnifies sensitivity errors. After equipping new optics, spend five minutes in training mode adjusting settings from the sensitivity guide. Lower ADS multiplier when switching from red dot to 8x to avoid overshooting.

Bind inspect and attach keys per the controls hub so you mod weapons under pressure without opening the full inventory grid.

Legacy watchlist and community updates

Follow Discord for Myth Games dev streams. Attachment slot limits, chip mods, or energy weapon systems would obsolete parts of this list. Until patch notes arrive, classic ROS attachment priority remains the best public baseline.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best scope in classic ROS?

4x scope was the best general-purpose optic for assault rifles and DMRs. 8x scope was mandatory for AWM and Barrett to reach S-tier sniper performance.

Compensator or suppressor on an M4A1?

Compensator ranked higher for raw win rate in most classic lobbies. Suppressor was situational when sound discipline mattered more than peak DPS.

Do attachments carry over between Legacy maps?

Legacy has not confirmed loot rules. Classic ROS used shared attachment pools across Ghillie Island and Fearless Fiord with map-specific spawn rates.

Which grip is best for AKM recoil?

Vertical foregrip was the classic choice for AKM full-auto control. Angled grip worked if you preferred faster ADS for peek shooting.

Should I use extended mags on snipers?

AWM and Barrett rarely needed extended mags—ammo was scarce. Extended QuickDraw mattered more on Vector, M249, and aggressive AR sprays.
