Rules of Survival Legacy Squad Loadout Guide

Role-based weapons, loot splits, and comms for four-player stacks waiting on Myth Games’ PC release.

Squad Loadout

Squad play in classic Rules of Survival was louder, faster, and more punishing than solos when comms broke down. Four players looting the same rifle spawn, nobody carrying smokes, and three bolt snipers with no close cover—those stacks lost to organized teams running simple role lanes. Rules of Survival Legacy from Myth Games intends to restore that classic PC squad meta, but the game remains Under Development without a verified retail release. Use this guide to align your four-stack before official playtests announced on the Myth Discord, and cross-check any date rumors on the Release Timeline.

Solo players should use Solo Loadout instead. For weapon math, open Weapon Compare. Run Drop Planner as a squad before every session.

Standard four-role template

You do not need rigid esports roles, but you need coverage:

RoleWeapon biasJob in fights
Flex AACR / M4A1Mid-range beam, first knock
Flex BQBZ / M4A1Trade support, building peek
RangeSVD / AWMHold angles, punish rotates
EntryThompson / shotgunsPush boxes, clear corners

Swap Range for a second flex on dense urban maps. Swap Entry for DMR when zone ends in open hills.

Loot splitting rules

Attachments travel to the gunner. If Flex A takes ACR, they keep extended mag and compensator even if Range found them. Range keeps 4x scopes and sniper ammo.

Meds pool centrally. Designate one player to carry extra smokes; another stacks stuns. Call out when team total heals drop below four full resets.

Ammo types: split 5.56 between flex players; 7.62 for DMR; .45 or SMG ammo for entry. Nothing wastes a squad wipe faster than three players on incompatible calibers with no trade option.

Throwables: minimum two smokes and two stuns across the team before fourth circle. Frag grenades optional when entry player already carries two.

Drop strategy as a unit

Split booty: two teams of two hit adjacent compounds, then link at a named landmark within ninety seconds. Faster than four players skydive-stacking one roof.

Hot drop as show: only when all four agree and at least one player has entry loadout practice. One bad hot drop without exit plan costs entire squad XP time.

Vehicle routes: classic ROS squads sometimes centralize on a jeep or buggy. Assign a driver who keeps engine off near final circles to avoid sound cues.

Document your drop call in Drop Planner so late joiners read the same plan.

Mid-game rotate comms

Use simple callouts:

  • “Moving north to ridge before zone tick.”
  • “Need smoke on east crossing in ten.”
  • “Range has shot on truck, do not push yet.”

Rotate as a unit unless you are baiting third parties with one flex player. Partial rotates leave DMR isolated without close cover.

When Myth publishes Legacy map changes, update default rotate landmarks in squad notes—unverified July 2026 leak maps are not gospel.

Fight discipline

Knock trade priority: entry pushes knocked targets; flex holds angles on their teammates.

Third-party awareness: after first knock, reposition five to ten meters before looting. Classic ROS squads died during slow box animations.

Revive timing: smoke first, then revive. Never hard-rev in open grass when range player still has line.

Project clarity: Legacy vs others

This squad guide targets Myth Games’ Legacy on PC, not NetEase’s shuttered live service (offline 2022-06-27). It is not a playbook for Rules of Survival Revival or Roblox Rise of Survival. Download only from Myth-controlled sources—APK repost sites are high risk and often unrelated executables.

Balance numbers here follow classic ROS until Myth patch notes say otherwise. Revisit Builds Hub after major updates.

Squad FAQ-style reminders

  • One range gun maximum unless map is pure open field.
  • Two flex ARs stabilize most mid-game fights.
  • Entry player keeps Thompson or shotgun through first circle even if they find bolt on floor.
  • Share level-three armor to best aim player when only one vest spawns.
  • Confirm Discord announcements before installing any “squad ready” build from random forums.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many snipers should a squad run?

Usually one dedicated range player with SVD or AWM. Two bolts struggle when circles end in compounds unless both players are practiced repositioners.

Who gets the first ACR or M4?

Give it to the flex player with the most stable mid-range aim, not whoever opened the door first.

Should we hot drop as four?

Only with a shared exit plan and entry role ready. Otherwise split adjacent loot and link quickly.

Are Revival squad strats the same?

Similar genre, different project and download sources. Confirm which game your stack is actually launching.

When will squad meta shift for Legacy?

After Myth publishes loot pools and patch notes. Watch Updates and Release Timeline for verified changes.

What if we find only one smoke?

Hand it to the player calling rotates. Buy more from dead boxes before open-field circles.
